Getting Enough with the Earth Element

The Earth Element is all about nourishment, satisfaction with our accomplishments, eating, digesting, knowing when we’ve had enough, and then the enjoyment of sharing our abundance.
Lately, I have noticed myself coming to meals as if I am starving. I am eating too quickly. It’s as if I am afraid I will not get enough food. I eat everything at once, without savoring any of it, and then I feel bloated and stuffed. This is Earth out of balance!
For the past couple of years, I have been drawn to several practices as if my life depended on them. I completely immersed myself in Yoga, Qi Gong, and Dao Yin.

How much is enough?

Learning and seeking can be overdone as easily as eating. These are two different manifestations of the same Earth imbalance.
Currently (late August), we are moving toward Late Summer, the season of the Earth Element. As the Universal energy highlights the Earth Element, I am slowing the pace of what I take in both physically and mentally. As I slow down, I realize the true nourishment that I need/want is self-nourishment.
I am turning toward the Earth Element for the resource of self-stabilization and a sense that I am enough right now.
